Vader: A Star Wars Theory Fan Series - Episode 1: Shards of the Past

From October - December 2018, I have been working as a 3D Artist for Episode 1 of Vader: A Star Wars Theory web series, Titled "Shards of the Past".

On this project I have used Autodesk Maya, Photoshop, After Effects, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.

Massive thanks to Director Danny Ramirez who took me on board for the project, and to CG Supervisor Gaetan Lancelle, Ruben Brouns, and Tim Forsgen for their work on lookdev, lighting, texturing and compositing.

On my first day working on the series I began blocking in the hole, getting it to match the on-set footage.

Here I began creating additional rubble near the hole, and also experimenting to see how rebar may look, which ultimately was left out.

Once the main form was In I began texturing the smaller rocks, careful that it matched the look of the on-set dust.
